Tipster Trendlines v2.1

This page is out of date, click "Tipster Trendlines" at the top of the page.

Trade directly from your Amibroker charts. This AFL code allows you to draw three lines on the Amibroker chart and place an error free trade. You must have Amibroker 5 or better, IBController (from Amibroker website), Trader WorkStation (TWS) and an Interactive Brokers (IB) account. I have not posted the code at this time, but for a small $20 donation I will send it to you.

  2. Hey, Brian, nice system!

this trendline trader you have developed, is mainly focusing on day trade, isnt it? so if the stop/sell order doesnt trigger by the end of the day, when the chart is opened the next day, greenline, my understand is the position line, will still be there?
what if i want to buy again the next day before selling it? can it handles two buy orders before sell/stop order? i kinda hope it can.

if it's not too much, can you write some Q/As about it?

  3. Tipstetr Trendlines is not just for daytrading, use it for swing and long term also. The main intent is to reduce order entry rules and time. Orders can be set for GTC or GTD. If you save the chart before you shut down amibroker , the lines will appear again the next day. If you want to buy again the next day, simply place another otder using the system. The stops and targets can be the same or different. Hope this helps.

  4. Hi, how do I get in touch with you? I want to back test test my trading entries and exit from Amibroker charts and add port to excel functionality to analyze the data. What other payment methods do you have?

  5. Hi Brian, your system looks excellent, but i have few questions..

    1. Will the system allow to trail the Stop loss automatically upto certain price (fixed by user)
say fo ex:, i went short on a stock for 100$ and I place a Stop loss order initially at 102$, I want the system to automatically trail the stop loss till 100$ or 99$ (determined by the user), as the stock moves down..

    is this possible...?

    1. The system will trail the stop depending on how you draw the red stop line, it will follow the line if auto update is enabled.
It wont stop at a certain point, but you can always adjust the line to a horizontal once it reaches your price, then it will not trail any longer.
